Welcome to The Learning Barn located in Timaru.
We are a locally owned early childhood education centre with 50 children in our care. We have a team of highly qualified Kaiako (teachers) who are passionate about their role in your child's future.
We believe in providing a back to basics environment for our tamariki. We encourage tamariki to interact daily with our animals and plants to understand their importance. Our centre has a rural feel which is centred around the natural environment.
We provide tamariki opportunities to take risks, explore, self-direct and constantly challenge themselves through play. Our team provides cross curriculum opportunities on a daily basis which are guided from the NZECC Te Whāriki.
