Our animals are very special to us at The Learning Barn. We believe having animals on site provides rich learning opportunities for children.
Research shows that interactions with animals daily allows children to develop relationships, empathy, self-esteem and show enthusiasm. It also shows children can become more sociable, develop positive attitude towards learning and it can improve their academic achievements. Our children will learn that animals have needs and will learn how to look after and treat them with care and respect.
The children are able to interact with our animals daily offering a unique experience for Timaru children.
